ANZSOG 2017 Listening Tour

ANZSOG 2017 Listening Tour
  • Published Date: 07 June 2017

ANZSOG is committed to an inclusive approach to its practices and curriculum that prioritises the value and unique contributions of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori peoples.

Our ultimate goal is to learn more, advocate and create opportunities for innovative practice regarding Indigenous engagement. We seek to improve understanding and engagement at ANZSOG, improve our impact in this space and ensure lasting organisational change.

As a first step towards this goal ANZSOG is embarking on a listening tour, led by our new Dean and CEO, Professor Ken Smith. We are seeking to engage with Indigenous and non-Indigenous current students, alumni and interested parties from public, private and not-for-profit sectors. We want to hear what role you think ANZSOG should play in this space, and what actions we need to take to develop a truly trans-Tasman approach to respectful and positive engagement in Indigenous affairs and public administration.

We are exploring the necessary processes for how we think about, incorporate, and privilege Indigenous issues and insights across the entirety of ANZSOG practices, research and teaching by changing perspectives and developing understandings to, hopefully, inform lasting change.

The following are the dates of the listening tour

Please note: Sessions will start at 5.30pm and end at 8pm including arrival and post meeting networking.

We will also be live streaming discussions through the ANZSOG Facebook page so that people in remote and regional communities can participate.
