Creative and engaged leadership is important to generate change and promote innovation in uncertain and complex times.
Creativity and community engagement can be the missing links that help leaders combine intellectual wisdom with emotional intelligence and intuition to make better decisions, helping them harness the power of diversity as well as conflict to lead to positive change.
ANZSOG is holding a new two-day ANZSOG pilot workshop, titled Exploring contemporary leadership through creativity and community engagement practices.
Express your interest
ANZSOG is continually reviewing what we do, to respond to the needs of our owner governments and to make changes which ensure ANZSOG remains relevant to the public sector in the 21st century, and your input is invaluable.
Using diverse and innovative exercises, the workshop will take you out of your comfort zone to explore new ways of thinking about policymaking and leadership to maximise public value.
This workshop will provide an opportunity to explore the latest thinking on creativity, community engagement and leadership.
Participants will learn how to apply creativity and deliberative democracy practices to improve relational awareness, community trust, conflict solving and decision making in the face of complex societal, policy and organisational challenges.
Some of Australia’s iconic cultural institutions, such as Perform Australia and the National Portrait Gallery, will deliver this workshop in partnership with ANZSOG.
The pilot, which will be held on 9-10 September 2019 (inclusive) in Canberra is for former Executive Fellows Program participants only.
Places are limited.
Please register your interest before close of business Friday 23 August. We will confirm your involvement on Monday 26 August.
Please note that while your attendance at this pilot workshop is free, you or your agency will need to meet your travel and accommodation costs and you must commit to attend for the full duration of the workshop.
