SSC & ANZSOG present Auckland: What next for our ‘super diverse’ city?

With 39% of our population born overseas, Auckland outstrips every Australian city in ethnic and cultural diversity, not to mention London, New York and Los Angeles.

Of all the many ways cities around the world are embracing growing diversity and seeking to leverage ‘the diversity dividend’ what are some of the options facing Auckland? How are we responding to our current demographic, social and political circumstances?

Please join Dr Glenda Ballantyne, Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Swinburne University, Lynda Ford, Intercultural Cities Expert, Council of Europe, and Deborah James, Head of Diversity and Inclusion, Auckland Council for a very timely and interactive conversation about Australian, New Zealand and international experiences.

The seminar will be moderated by Meg Poutasi, Director Auckland, SCC.
