With a focus on evaluation, evidence and policy analysis, the Evidence and Evaluation Hub offers services and other activities to meet the needs of the public and not-for-profit sectors.

Services and other activities provided by the Evidence and Evaluation Hub include:

  • Education in a range of formats to suit the client’s existing capability and their development needs. Formats can be short and strategic or longer and more detailed, catering for a wide range of needs. Education programs can be integrated with other hub activities like advisory and consultancy services, or offered as one off events that get people started on their own or fill a capability gap.
  • Advisory services to government and not-for-profit agencies to produce practical, succinct tools, plans and frameworks that can be easily applied by practitioners and are useful to decision-makers.
  • Review of evaluation briefs (terms of reference), plans and reports in line with best practice and compatible with agencies’ existing policies and guidelines, whole-of-government evaluation guidelines, and the Australasian Evaluation Society’s Code of Ethics.
  • Facilitation to support practitioners to apply their knowledge to produce tools and decisions for monitoring and evaluation.


The Evidence and Evaluation Hub Principals provide comprehensive assistance and advice utilising their wealth of experience in evaluation.

The Evidence and Evaluation Hub also undertakes collaborative research and develops resources aimed at:

  • building evaluative knowledge and procedures within organisations
  • improving the science of evaluation
  • promoting best practice evaluative methods.
