Sophie Yates is an ANZSOG Research Fellow. She is Assistant Editor of ANZSOG's peer-reviewed journal Evidence Base, manages ANZSOG's competitive grants program, and writes teaching cases for its Case Library.
Ms Yates has published on political astuteness in the public sector, Public Value Process Mapping, and citizen co-production of public services. With co-author John Alford, she won the 2015 Outstanding Paper Award for the International Journal of Public Sector Management.
Ms Yates is a PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales, focusing on gender and problem framing in family violence policy. She has a B.Arts, a B.Mus and a Master of Applied Linguistics (Terry Quinn Award for highest minor thesis mark) from the University of Melbourne. She is Postgraduate Representative on the Executive Committee of the Australian Political Studies Association.
