Merrin Hambley has spent nearly ten years working in various policy roles in the Commonwealth Government. Following a stint focused on workers’ compensation policy, she spent five years working at the Commonwealth Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency, where she worked with various policy and regulatory agencies at the state, territory and Commonwealth level to implement, monitor and report on the progress of the National Strategic Plan for Asbestos Management and Awareness. Since May 2018, Merrin has worked as an Assistant Director at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. She has a Bachelor of Laws and International Studies from the University of Adelaide, and a Masters of Public Policy and Governance from UNSW.
