Marg McLeod is Strategic ICT Business Advisor in the Strategy Planning and Architecture Team, Business Enablement and Support at the Ministry of Education, New Zealand. She took this position in February 2019 after four and a half years as Deputy Chief Executive at Te Kura (previously the NZ Correspondence School) where she was responsible for Curriculum Teaching and Learning, and a four year change programme to move learning and teaching practice online.  Marg has extensive experience in education, as practitioner and public servant. She was a teacher and secondary school principal and was made a Companion of the Queens Service in 2007 for leadership: building capability to work in ICT rich environments in education. In 2010 she joined the Ministry of Education as Change Manager for the Ultrafast Broadband in Schools (Ufbis) Programme to deliver fibre connectivity to all NZ schools. She became Group Manager, Curriculum Teaching and Learning – Implementation and was Private Secretary to the Associate Minister of Education in 2013/4  Marg’s first degree is in English literature. She has post graduate qualifications in Teaching and Education Administration. She completed the Australia and New Zealand School of Government Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) in 2013.
