Peter Abelson

BA (Oxford University), MSc in Economics (London School of Economics), MBA (Heriot-Watt University), PhD (London University)

Dr Peter Abelson has taught economics in universities for over 25 years, and specialises in the economics of government.

He has over 30 years of consulting experience in Australia and overseas. His recent work in Australia includes government pricing policy, major transport projects, evaluation of public health and hospitals, business planning for infrastructure, evaluation of national housing costs and prices, and financial analysis of property developments. He has worked for international agencies on major projects in China, India, Bangladesh, Kenya, Bolivia and Papua New Guinea. Peter has considerable experience in Local Government, including eight years as councillor and two as Mayor of Mosman Council in Sydney.
