Profile

Patrick Weller is Professor of Politics and Public Policy and ANZSOG Premier of Queensland Chair in Governance and Public Management. He is also Professor, School of Government and International Relations at Griffith University. He has won 11 ARC Discovery (or equivalent) grants and one ARC Linkage grant, and has been a chief investigator on an ARC Key Centre and on the Centre for Excellence for Policing and Security. He is currently working on an ARC-funded study of international organisations with Professor Xu Yi-chong and on a comparative study of prime ministers.

Professor Weller was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2002. In 1996, he was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences of Australia (ASSA), and in 1995, he was granted Honorary Life Membership of the Australasian Political Studies Association (APSA).
