Overview
Developing strategic leadership skills in public sector managers requires a different educational framework to what is appropriate for private sector managers. Where business schools teach how to 'create shareholder value', ANZSOG’s mission is to teach public sector managers how to 'create public value'.

Why participate in an ANZSOG program?
“On a professional level [the program] enabled me to operate
at a more strategic level, and on a personal level enabled me
to build my skills, and move to a more senior position.”
EMPA graduate
ANZSOG offers high-level, interactive educational programs that are designed to broaden the participants’ vision and give them the knowledge and skills to make a more effective contribution to the public sector.
Participants learn how to make more informed decisions that contribute to improved public services, better management of public funds and the enforcement of laws and regulations for the benefit of the communities they serve.
Our program participants also benefit from sharing ideas and perspectives with people from other agencies, departments and jurisdictions. The intensive nature of ANZSOG’s programs means that participants invariably establish strong, lasting networks across the broader public sector.
Our graduates find that the knowledge they gain and the networks they establish at ANZSOG help to open up new job opportunities and advance their careers.
