Leading and Managing a 21st Century School System

Brochure

Express interest

This Executive Workshop focuses on Leading and Managing a 21st Century School System at a time when education is at the heart of Australia's human capital, productivity and innovation agenda.

Delivered over a two day program, the focus will be 'real time' policy work required to advance both the immediate and medium term challenge to meet the goals of the Melbourne Declaration for Young Australians. The goals commit us to:

  • Promoting equity and excellence in Australian Schools,
  • Supporting all young Australians to become: successful learners, confident and creative individuals and active informed citizens.

The course recognises that building an excellent education system to deliver these goals, requires an agenda that encompasses both improvement efforts and incremental change and more radical innovation and transformation. In this spirit rather than drawing on 'case studies' the Executive Workshop will be informed by three recent publications from the Cisco's Global Education Team, harnessing international contributions from across the public, corporate and not for profit sectors.

Who should attend?

The course is designed for senior policy makers and senior operational leaders in education systems. Typically these would be senior managers with significant responsibilities for policy, finance and operations around schools.
