Who should attend?
The conference is designed for delegates from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors who have an interest
in federal-State relations and inter-governmental relations in general.
Government: federal, state, and local
The conference is aimed at executives, operational managers, and policy officers across Australia and New Zealand who are engaged
with any form of vertical or horizontal cooperation, regulation, policy-making or service delivery implementation.
Private and community sectors
Participation will be rewarding to individuals in private sector firms, government-business enterprises, and consultancy and
lobbying firms. Business people dealing in sectors relevant to the COAG Working Groups and the National Reform Agenda will find
this conference particularly useful.
Policy and implementation officers from the not-for-profit sector—including NGOs and community organisations—will
find attendance worthwhile.
Academics
Members of the academic community will benefit from hearing about current innovative research being conducted in the field of
public policy and intergovernmental relations.
The conference also provides an opportunity to network with decision makers across the public and private sector
that have an interest in this field.
Delegates from each of these sectors will benefit from a deeper understanding of current inter-government
arrangements, the potential of the current reform agenda, and other innovative ways in which the Federation’s true potential
can be realised.
