Conference themes

The conference will address four key themes aimed at illustrating the complexity of relations and the prospects for improved delivery and policy outcomes:

  • Collaboration in the implementation of public policy
    • service delivery and business model challenges;
  • National and international collaboration
    • national security, disaster recovery and emergency crises to provide effective and timely responses to meet community expectations;
  • Collaboration with targeted clients
    • indigenous communities, regional and remote communities, welfare groups, disadvantaged groups, and those with disabilities, and
  • Collaboration with the community
    • bringing the people back into the policy sphere through engagement, consultation, and shared responsibilities.

Collaborative relationships

The conference is aimed at delegates who manage relationships and seek to implement improvements with a focus on:

  • Collaboration across government
    • Inter-agency collaboration across the same jurisdiction;
  • Collaboration between governments
    • Inter-governmental collaboration between agencies from different jurisdictions, and
  • Collaboration between governments and non-government organisations
    • Businesses, community groups, charities, voluntary organisations.
