ANZSOG gives thanks to the outgoing committee members who have worked to build up the vibrant alumni community in Victoria. In particular we’d like to acknowledge the wonderful support of Brendan Facey (President), Sam Adrichem (Secretary) and Raj Malhotra (Public Officer).
In 2011 The Alumni hosted or participated in two major events:
• The EMPA refresh held in July in Sydney on Transitions demonstrated that this is becoming an iconic event with excellent attendance by the Victorian alumni cohort. In 2012 the EMPA refresh will be in Wellington on 24 July. The program for this event is currently being planned.
• The combined Melbourne ANZSOG Alumni and Harvard Club event to hear Malcolm Sparrow speak about ‘Catastrophic risks and other wicked problems’ in October. This was well attended and received positive feedback.
Over the next 12 months, the committee will work to host an event every two to three months, featuring a guest speaker of either local or international acclaim. These events will also aim to remain informal, allowing plenty of time for questions and networking.
