The intention of the SSC/ANZSOG partnership is to form a deeper connection between ANZSOG’s public policy networks and the SSC’s role in providing leadership to the State Services and making government work better for New Zealanders.

During 2010/11 a two-year trial Partnership Program was conducted. This partnership sponsored a number of events for both specialist and generalist audiences. The events were very well attended, being fully subscribed in many instances, and well received with high ratings reported in participant feedback.

In 2012 and 2013 the SSC and ANZSOG will continue to offer a program of free practitioner engagement events in Wellington, Auckland and other sites where possible. These events are  designed to encourage rigorous and innovative thinking, build networks and connections, and support the capacity of public servants to deliver the highest quality services to the citizens of New Zealand.
