Overview
The Australia and New Zealand School of Government has a number of thriving, successful practitioner engagement partnerships. These are formal agreements with the Victorian, Western Australian and New Zealand Governments and a variety of informal arrangements with Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania. ANZSOG anticipates future opportunities to bring the benefits of applied learning to New South Wales.
The Applied Learning Program aims to provide access to challenging and fresh ideas in public policy and public administration to a wide audience of practitioners. Drawing on ANZSOG’s network of national and international scholars and opinion leaders, events are provided at no cost to attendees. Each program is shaped in partnership with the relevant jurisdictions to ensure events are relevant, timely and influential.
The Applied Learning Program encompasses the following:
- seminars that provide an open forum for learning about new ideas and knowledge
- workshops in which senior government practitioners and guest speakers can debate topical issues and share experiences
- occasional papers commissioned to explore emerging ideas and challenges facing the public sector
- websites to ensure a lasting legacy from events and provide access to additional relevant materials
